Meet paintings the way you meet people.
One at a time. Stay a while, or move on.
Afterglance shows you one painting. It tells you something true about it — who made it, what it is made of, what world it came out of. You can linger, look closer, and even talk with it. Or you can let it go, and meet the next one.
There is no feed to finish and no score to beat. The app quietly learns what holds your attention, and brings you more of it.
While you wait
How well do you really know art? Take the Afterglance quiz — 38 rooms of paintings, painters, thefts and scandals. At the end it tells you your art type.

Subscription
Afterglance is free to use. Patron lifts the daily limits and opens every gallery as an auto-renewing subscription offered, depending on platform and availability, through Apple, Google Play, or our secure web checkout. You manage it with the provider you used to subscribe. The details are in the Terms of Use.
Privacy, briefly
No app account. Your location, collection, and taste profile stay on your phone. Conversation text travels only to produce a reply, and limited pseudonymous product events help us improve reliability and the quiz. The whole story is in the Privacy Policy.
The art
Paintings and their details come from Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, and museum records around the world. Most are public-domain works; source pages in the app provide the available credit and licence information. The editorial writing around them is ours.
